A man cave can be called a 'male sanctuary'. It is a room inside the dwelling, which is dedicated to the man of the house and his special possessions. It can be anything - in the form of a garage or in the basement, den, or a media room in my case. It is equipped with all the relevant accessories that can range from a vending machine, editing machine, giant TV, pool table, refrigerators, wine cellar, putting green, fireplace, bed, musical instruments, sports equipment, vehicle tool boxes, war memorabilia and anything else for that matter. In short, man cave design depends on the definition of 'comfort' for that man. Since it is their sanctuary, its location should also be secluded (if he wishes it to be!). The location to carry out some fancy designs depends on your budget as well. If you can afford it, then you can create a cozy manspace in a room located behind the house, or even a basement, which will be the perfect location to create the ideal male-only space!
Scrape and clean an old tree stump and paint it white. On top, place a dish of water, and convert a simple stump into a regal bird bath.
Application of paint to create a texture, involves different techniques, that may vary with the desired effect. However, before applying the paint, the walls have to be prepared. It involves cleaning and drying, after removing loose wallpaper and paint peels. Prepare the wall for painting as per the instructions of the manufacturer. You may apply a textured paint, like any other ordinary paint. Start with cutting in the corners, and apply the paint with a roller. In case of a stucco paint, you have to use a trowel for application. By using trowels, you can also create circular swirls on the wall. Textured paint can be used to create small peaks. This can be achieved by using a rubber trowel. One of the popular texture painting techniques is stippling, which is done with textured rollers.
