Divide the room into two by the method of furniture grouping. If the room is very large, create something by combining the living room and the dining room. If the room has a fireplace or a window, place a love-seat with two small chairs near it. In the next corner, place the television set and a sofa, which will form an entertainment space. You can also add a small coffee table near the sofa. Place an ottoman or an easy chair near the third corner, or anywhere near the window.
Once you have decided on the location of your man cave, the next thing to do is paint the walls in a manly color. A good paint color scheme is olive green and tan or steel gray and dark blue. Avoid pastel shades like pink, lilac, lavender, and powder blue as these are obviously not suitable for imbibing a masculine ambiance. Stick to a neutral color scheme if you are not sure which paint colors to pick. Decide on the furniture and accessories accordingly.
Use shadow boxes and fill them with shell, pebbles, etc., and make place for smalls candles in them. They will look really romantic. Place seashell-shaped soaps, soap cases, and clear glass containers for liquid soaps to make it more classy. Drapery is one important factor, so make sure you put all towels, drapes, pillow covers, bed sheets, and other fabrics that will suit the decor.
