Safari theme for children's bedroom spells fun for young boys and girls. You can use bamboo decor, tribal theme accessories, camouflage print bed sheets and covers. You can add faux or real palm trees and add a canopy to the bed. The bed can be shaped as a river boat or safari jeep style. If you have two children sharing a bedroom you can use a tree house style bed. Paint the walls with life-size animals, birds and trees. To give more realistic look, hang plastic vines from the ceiling, stick leaves on the curtain rods and place life-like bud toys on the windows. The furniture should match the safari theme. Strategically place a few soft toys of tigers, lions, bears and rabbits around the room. You can even hang a monkey on the faux trees placed in the room or from the curtain rods. You can even use the wallpapers with safari theme to decorate the room.
Lighting is another aspect which you can tweak in order to encompass the English cottage decorating ideas into your living room. Make sure that the light is faint and not overwhelming. It should bring out the softness in the room. Therefore, recessed and overhead lights are not a good option. Go for soft lamps and lighting fixtures to brighten the room like a chandelier or a lamp. You would easily find vintage lamps from an antique store or convert an old household item like a jug or vase into a table lamp.
Home Goods' stores are usually attached to TJ Maxx clothing outlets, but Ive noticed that sometimes home dcor items are in TJ Maxx stores without an associated Home Goods. Either way, this is a great place to find deals on well-made housewares and dcor. Like Tuesday Morning, they dont always have everything, but Im consistently surprised at just how extensive their inventory is. Its rare that I go to Home Goods looking for something specific and dont find it. If I cant find what I want at Tuesday Morning, Home Goods is my second choice.
