In the last few years, you must have visited homes of your friends, family and acquaintances. So, is there any particular house or room, whose dcor you still remember? Think about the restaurants or hotels that you visit often. What kind of dcor do they have? Is it modern and contemporary, with sleek, clear-cut lines? Or, is it traditional with curvy designs? Select the decorating style for your house, depending upon your choices in the past.
The most important step is the choice of color. Your bedroom is your personal comfort zone. Choose a color that reflects your true personality and style. There are numerous shades available to choose from.
Selection of paint schemes for an old house is slightly tricky as we do not have much of an idea about the kind of color that will keep the old world charms of the house intact. You can take the help of some magazines or some color charts of the historical buildings from a library. Usually, in the olden days, people used to like those colors that were closer to nature. A variety of shades of red, brown, green or mustard will be just the right choice. These colors will accentuate the minute detail work of architecture of these buildings.
Determine the width and length of your table. Measure your table from end to end. Note down the measurements, both in inches and centimeters because different brands use different means to determine sizes. Remember to check if the tablecloth you are buying is for a four-seater or a six-seater dinner table, if you don't want to keep struggling adjusting the skirting later. Tablecloths sometimes hang too far over the short ends or just barely fit the table length, and this can spoil the beauty.
