Ships have more browns and whites when it comes to colors, working more with a woody look than anything else. If you want brighter shades go with aquamarine for the bedrooms and use something more toned down for the living room and kitchen area. Stick to warm colors and light shades of blue, green and hues of brown and cream. Wallpaper showing ship related imagery should be directed to the kids' rooms, or you could get wallpaper resembling wooden planks and place these in your living room or kitchen. Sticking to realistic and believable colors and textures is what makes it beautiful and more lifelike.
You can use shades of coral, purple, brown, and blue. The beautiful, saturated colors can be used on the walls. You can blend shades like cactus green with pinks and reds. You can also use neutral colors (if you do not want to use too much color in your room) on three walls of your room and one bright color on one of the walls to give an outstanding look to the room.
Use tinted wood stains for interior and exterior wood decor. The beauty and charm associated with wood molding accents, wood corner molding, and exterior siding designs, are not only natural in appeal. Molds painted pristine white for a delicate framework, for instance of twisted ropes, when laced through vaulted ceiling and walls is, simply put, a 'belle vue'!
Mosaic tiles are the preferred choice for flooring. You may also apply a mosaic pattern to terracotta or brick tiled floors. Brick red or burnt orange are popular colors for flooring. You may use inlay mosaic tiles for the walls in place of a base mold. Mosaic tiles are also used for kitchen backsplashes and in foyers and alcoves.
