Rain chains, which are believed to have originated in Japan, are now widely used as alternatives for waterspouts. Though rain chains were intended to be used for garden decor, copper ones are sometimes found as an attachment to rainwater storage devices. They come in a wide range of designs and patterns, like a chain of interlinked copper rings, which is hung vertically in place of waterspouts. Some are like a series of copper funnels, bells or cups with holes in the bottom, and connected with strings or chains. Apart from enhancing the dcor, a rain chain produces a pleasant sound, as rainwater trickles through it.
Ceramic Feng Shui: This is made of beautifully glazed ceramic, and there is a soothing sound of flowing water. There is also a recirculating electric pump.
As you can see, a gallery wall doesn't always need to have picture frames. There's a lot for experimenting with unique ideas, and that's where the space above your dining table comes into play. Have you thought about hanging vibrant ceramic plates on your wall? If not, now's the right time. You purchase them in bulk, or collect individual pieces as and when you find them. On another note, how does a monogram wall sound to you? It certainly has the charm to brighten up any room.
Want to highlight a corner, a vase, or your prized possession? Make a backdrop using burlap, and place the object in that corner. Sit back, and enjoy your still life come to life. Inspiring for artists, I must say. Make a frame using wires or wood, and cover the basket with burlap, for your own fruit basket.
